The Word
“In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God.” John 1:1
“God SAID, Let there be light and there was light.” Genesis 1:3
“Then he said to the fig tree '‘May no one ever eat fruit from you again” “In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots” Mark 11:14 & 20
“Truly I tell you if anyone says to this mountain “go throw yourself into the sea’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen. it will be done for them” Mark 11:23-24
God spoke the worlds into existence and we became flesh by this same process. Jesus cursed a fig tree and it withered to the roots. Jesus also spoke the dead to life. Your spoken words have power to create destruction or create genesis. Your words running through your mind have this same power. Every word that forms a sentence in your mind via thought held in your mind and accepted as truth eventually becomes reality. Every word you speak out loud regarding those thoughts solidifies it as truth for you. The hand written word has that same solidifying power. The power of the word - written or spoken - creates. There is a saying attributed to the great Chinese philosopher and author of the Tao Te Ching: “Watch your thoughts for they become words. Watch your words for they become actions. Watch your actions because they become habits. Watch your habits for they become your character. Watch your character for it becomes your destiny.” This is so true and echoed throughout the bible as well, worded a little differently but same meaning.
We are all born the same, equal, beggars and kings are not given any more or any less. It is all based on the words spoken over you and the words you speak about yourself and the words you believe to be true for you. Its all about the words. The beggar speaks of lack, sickness, weakness and not enough so God gives him more of that. The king speaks of abundance, health, wealth, power and more than enough so God gives him more of that. That is why we say “the rich keep getting richer and the poor barely get by” Instead of speaking lack into your life, you start speaking blessings over yourself, your children, your family, your friends, and every person you meet. This will indeed turn things around for you, life will be a bit brighter and wealthier.
I believe the word - written or spoken - is most powerful because both moves others to action. This is why so many books have been banned from schools and public libraries around the world - because of the truth they send to the masses. It is also the reason some people on YouTube or other video social media platforms have been restricted as well. If I hear of a banned book, I run right to my Amazon account or Audible account to get the book so I can read or hear what truth is so scary for these people that it should be banned from free public access. Sometimes I even listen to someone I heard was banned or restricted from social platforms to see if there is any truth in their words. We have to read and listen for ourselves not go by what others tell us or what they believe for themselves. The power of educated people is dangerous for those in power trying to control the masses. Educate yourself. The more you know the more you start believing in yourself and in your power. Don’t let others decide for you.
The words you read or hear, call you toward love or fear. Sometimes it seems we have been conditioned to believe the fear over the love. Or fear is dressed up as love. When you read the words or hear the words being spoken to you, do you feel ease in your body or do you feel afraid? If you feel fear step away from that information. Fear has been used for centuries to control people. When they realize they have you in fear they know they got you. Fear convinces you of others wrongness. Reality is ….nothing is wrong. Write and speak the rightness, the goodness into all the world and you will start seeing more of that. Each of us get to decide what feels good for us by noticing how we react to the information. The beautiful thing about it all is we get to decide what feels like ease and what feels like fear. We get to decide what we believe is true for us as individuals.
The power of the word creates love or fear.
