Spirit Speaks: Reclaiming the Gift I Buried as a Child
My connection to Spirit is strong. It always has been.
Even as a child, I saw things — felt energies in the room that others couldn’t see, heard voices that whispered messages in my ear, knew things I couldn’t possibly explain. Spirit was my constant companion. I spoke freely with those on the other side, and to me, it felt as natural as breathing.
But like many of us who walk this path of remembrance…
That gift was shut down.
When the World Told Me It Wasn’t Real
I remember telling my mother and grandmother about the spirits I saw, the conversations I had, the visions that would come to me.
Their response was simple, and in their eyes, loving:
“That’s not real.”
And just like that, I buried my gift.
Not because it stopped calling to me — but because I was taught not to trust it.
Taught to doubt myself.
Taught that my knowing was wrong.
So I silenced the voice. Closed the inner eye. Dismissed the whispers.
Until… I couldn’t anymore.
Reconnecting with My Inner Truth
The past few years have changed everything.
As I’ve walked this path of remembering, the voice of Spirit has grown louder. The visions have returned. The words now speak clearly in my right ear. The guidance flows — sometimes in flashes, sometimes in stillness, always in truth.
It’s as if my soul was just waiting for me to come back.
To stop seeking externally and start trusting internally.
To listen again. To believe again.
And the more I lean into this connection, the more powerful and clear it becomes.
When I Asked Spirit, “Why Didn’t You Tell Me?”
Recently, something happened in our family that shook us deeply.
In the midst of it, I turned to Spirit and asked:
“Why didn’t you tell me this was coming?”
I was frustrated. Hurt. Confused. I always get messages. Why not this time?
And the response I received was simple, and sacred:
“Because you would’ve altered the outcome.”
That truth hit me deep.
Because the reality is… we create with our energy. Our thoughts. Our feelings. Our intentions.
Spirit — The Creator — delivers what we co-create, but always in a way that serves our greatest and highest good.
The Beauty of Not Knowing Everything
Spirit doesn’t give us every detail of our lives. Not because we’re not worthy — but because we’re meant to live the experience, not just watch the movie.
If you knew how it all unfolded… would you still grow from it?
If you saw the storm before it came, would you still learn how to anchor?
If you knew the outcome of every choice, would you still feel the joy of discovery?
We’re not here to control every twist and turn.
We’re here to trust. To walk. To remember.
Spirit gives us just enough — the right breadcrumbs at the right time. Just enough light to see the next step. And that’s where the magic lives. In the mystery. In the surrender. In the trust.
Closing Reflections
My connection to Spirit is not a superpower — it’s a birthright.
It’s not exclusive — it’s available to all of us, when we listen.
Yes, the visions, the whispers, the knowing… they are sacred.
But the true gift is not in seeing it all — it’s in remembering that we’re always guided, always loved, always part of something far greater than we can fully comprehend.
I’m no longer asking for all the answers.
I’m simply staying open to the signs, the messages, the moments.
Trusting that Spirit is walking with me — and will speak when it’s time.
Until then… I’ll keep listening.
And remembering.
